All,
I need help to set up my moxf to receive midi from Band in a Box (BIAB) so it can play the upper bank sounds on the MOXF.
BIAB can send Midi for tracks of a BIAB song. It has an internal synth whose sounds are ok but I would prefer to use the MOXF patches. I created a .pat file for the MOXF per BIAB instructions so I could pick from that to assign which MOXF voice I want to use for the track but it fails, likely because I have some other settings wrong.
While the settings in BIAB could also be wrong, I am thinking I need to focus the MOXF side of the communication between these two things in this post.
Does MOXF have to be in a Mode (song performance master song pattern)?
Which Quicksetup do I use? VST Play?
What banks for send and receive?
I am thinking channels would get handled by the mixing function (perhaps for a song?)
I have read the manuals and tried hard to get this to work on my own but I am to the point that without help from yamaha I don't think I'll be able to figure it out. I will provide any screen shots, operating environment, or any specifics requested.
As an aside I use Cubase 10 LE and have the MOXF VST3 plugin working perfectly... so I know my basic midi setup is working. If someone with the requisite knowledge would respond, that would be greatly appreciated. I attached a .png of how I am setup if that helps.
Thanks in advance,
Rick
